KATHMANDU: The Central Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) has begun its meeting in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ announced the agenda for the meeting at Nepal Academy Hall Kamaladi in Kathmandu.

The chairperson will provide information about the meeting process as well as brief reports from the provinces during the three-day meeting.

Similarly, the Maoists have stated that they will discuss the chairperson’s current situation report and organizational issues.

Chairperson Prachanda stated that discussions will take place on organizational issues, the selection of office bearers, the standing committee, and the election of office-bearers.

He also stated that the meeting will cover a review of local elections as well as preparations for the upcoming state and federal elections.

Prachanda administered the oath of office to the new Central Committee members during the meeting.
