Rain in these states, urge people to be cautious of floods & landslides

KATHMANDU: Rain has begun to fall in Nepal. Rain has been falling in various parts of the country since last night. Some areas have experienced heavy rain.
Light rain is falling in some areas of the Gandaki, Karnali, and Far-Western States this morning. The country will have partial to normal cloud cover this afternoon (Sunday). Rainfall will be light to moderate in many parts of the country’s hilly terrain. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, there is a chance of light rain in some parts of the country’s Terai region.

Flooding is possible in several locations in the east, as well as in small rivers and hilly and mountainous terrain in the west. Residents in coastal and low-lying areas should be on high alert until noon, according to the department. Residents in coastal and landslide-prone areas should be on high alert due to the risk of flooding in the small rivers that run through the area.
