Signature collection campaign against CM of Bagmati
Signatures have been collected, according to a member of Congress, with the intention of using them if necessary.
KATHMANDU: A signature-collection campaign has been launched against Bagmati Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey.
UCPN (Maoist)-Congress lawmakers have collected signatures stating that Chief Minister Pandey’s term has expired per the agreement reached on 2078 BS, Ashoj 7. (23 Sept 2021).
Signatures have been collected, according to a member of Congress, with the intention of using them if necessary. The agreement reached by the three parties on September 23 was made public on September 25. According to the agreement, Pandey was supposed to resign earlier.
Pandey was appointed as the Chief Minister on 2078 BS, Kartik 11 (28 Oct 2021). He’s been in charge of the government for about eight months. While the government continues to prepare for the state and House of Representatives elections in Mangsir (November/December), the term is now less than five months.
