22 terrorists killed in security sweep in Burkina Faso

OUAGADOUGOU: At least 22 terrorists were neutralized during operations by the defense and security forces Monday in the southwestern province of Bougouriba in Burkina Faso, a release from the army on Tuesday said.

The release said the offensive action resulted in the dismantling of three terrorist bases, adding at least 22 terrorists were neutralized in total during gunfire exchanges.

The Burkina Faso army also said a significant quantity of materials including weapons, ammunition, drugs, and pharmaceuticals were recovered or destroyed.
