KATHMANDU: Bimala Oli, the Lumbini State Minister of State for Health, Population, and Social Welfare, resigned today.

Oli submitted her resignation on June 26 and it was accepted, State Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC notified today’s State Assembly meeting.

Her resignation came after the state government formed a three-member committee in response to a complaint that Oli allegedly barged into the house of Ekraj Basnet of Dang, a Young Communist League leader, two weeks ago and mistreated his spouse and daughter.
