Even Council of Ministers overlooked my request to increase budget: Minister Ale

KATHMANDU: Prem Bahadur Ale, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has claimed that not only the Ministry of Finance but also the Council of Ministers, has overlooked his request for a budget increase.

Minister Ale made such an allegation in response to a question raised by lawmakers in the National Assembly under Appropriation Bill 2079.

Minister Ale stated that targeted tourism programs could not be implemented due to the Ministry of Tourism’s reduced budget.

He stated that attracting one million tourists would be impossible because the Ministry of Tourism’s budget has been reduced by Rs 10 billion than of previous years.
