Cholera Fear: Sale of panipuri banned in Lalitpur
According to the metropolitan, some people have been found feeding contaminated tap water while claiming it is jar water.
LALITPUR: To combat cholera, the Lalitpur Metropolitan City has prohibited the sale and distribution of Panipuri.
Panipuri has been banned in all 29 wards of the Lalitpur Metropolitan to prevent the spread of Cholera.
The operation of wheelbarrow shops has been halted to control the spread of the disease, according to City Police Chief Sitaram Hachhethu.
He said, “The air is now polluted. Consuming contaminated water can lead to cholera.”
According to the metropolitan, some people have been found feeding contaminated tap water while claiming it is jar water. According to Hachhethu, the sale of Panipuri and Chatpate on the road has been temporarily prohibited.
The metropolitan is using miking to raise public awareness in all 29 wards. The city has stated that it is its responsibility to control activities that are harmful to one’s health.
If the disease is not controlled within a week, the sale and distribution of Panipuri will be tightened, according to Hachhethu.
