Additional costs being incurred in management of waste: Minister

KATHMANDU: According to Ram Kumari Jhankri, Minister of Urban Development, waste management is becoming a topic of challenge.

Minister Jhankri stated this while laying the foundation stone of the Tukucha River Water Treatment Plant on Thursday. “There are additional costs associated with waste management,” Minister Jhankri explained.

Similarly, she expressed her delight that other municipalities in Kathmandu Valley have placed a high priority on waste management.

Minister Jhankri stated that it has established the belief that “if it is done, it will happen,” and added, “That’s the decent thing to do, and it should end there.”
