Nepal condoles loss of lives due to earthquake in Afghanistan

KATHMANDU: The government has expressed its sorrow over the deaths caused by an earthquake in Afghanistan on Wednesday. It is estimated that over 1,000 people were killed.

The magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck Afghanistan’s southeast early Wednesday, about 44 kilometers from the city of Khost, and tremors were felt as far away as Pakistan and India.
