Hearing against 52 constitutional body officials appointed by Oli from today

KATHMANDU: The hearing of the writ petition against the appointment of the constitutional body by ordinance begins today in the Constitutional Court.
The interim session will begin today with the hearing of the writ petition filed against the 52 office bearers appointed by KP Sharma Oli without any parliamentary hearing by amending the law related to the Constitutional Council.
Acting Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki has formed a bench to hear the writ petition, which includes Hari Krishna Karki, Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha, Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada, and Anil Kumar Sinha.
Through the ordinance, Oli had appointed a total of 52 constitutional body officials, including 32 appointed on 2077 BS, Magh 21 (3 Feb 2021), and 32 (14 Feb 2021) appointed on 2078 BS Ashar 10 (24 June 2021).
