Complaint filed in Parliament against Minister Prem Ale for using obscene words
They also stated that there have been reports that Minister Ale has beaten up various people by using obscene words during face-to-face meetings.
KATHMANDU: A complaint has been filed in Parliament against Prem Ale, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.
Advocates Kishor Poudel, Anupam Bhattarai, and student Regina Poudyal have filed a complaint with the Parliament’s Conduct Monitoring Committee, alleging that Minister Ale used obscene language and even made threats.
They also stated that there have been reports that Minister Ale has beaten up various people by using obscene words during face-to-face meetings.
According to the complaint, such activities would undermine public trust in the people’s representative body and would necessitate further action as it would instill contempt in political parties.
As per sub-rule (b) of Rule 216 of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives, 2075, it is mentioned that the members of the House of Representatives should behave in accordance with the existing public ethics and conduct in the society. Sub-rule (2) of the Rules of Procedure also states that the Code of Conduct shall apply to all aspects of the public life of the office bearers and members of the House of Representatives.
