To bring uniformity in rates of medicines in shops around BP
A discussion with pharmacists presided over by Ward Chairperson of Dharan Ward 18 Narendra Kumar Rai (Prabin), has decided to make the rate of implants uniform.
DHARAN: Surveillance to be increased after complaints surfaced that medical stores near the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences were charging exorbitant prices.
According to the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, the monitoring is being increased in response to complaints about arbitrary fees charged by medicine dealers to patients who come to the institute for implants.

Ward Chairperson Rai stated that the ward office has increased monitoring following complaints from patients who sought treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. In Dharan, four pharmaceutical dealers are working on implants.
Sujita Pharmacy, Srishti Pharrmallink, Bajrang Trade Link, and Ortho Word Surgical Implants (Transplant) are medical stores that sell and distribute pharmaceuticals.
According to Ward Chairperson Rai, a monitoring committee has also been formed under the coordination of Machen Limbu, president of Nepal Pharmaceutical Practitioners’ Association Dharan. Ward Chairperson Rai stated that consumers would be urged to keep drug prices visible.
Ward Chairperson Rai stated that discussions will be held with lab operators, followed by discussions with all pharmacists on Monday. Following discussions with businessmen and homeowners, the tempo in front of BP’s gate will be managed.
