Hormonal Clinic to come into operation soon

KATHMANDU: A hormonal clinic has been established targeting sexual and gender minorities. The Family Planning Association of Nepal, an organization working in the field of sexual and reproductive health services, is going to start the service for free for the first time in Nepal from mid-July.

Manager of FPAN Dr. Naresh Pratap KC shared that final preparations are being made for the operation of the Hormonal Clinic service, especially for the sexual and gender minority community and the service will start next July. The clinic is being established with the financial and technical support of the International Federation for Family Planning.

Dr. KC informed that employment would also be provided to the people belonging to the sexual and gender minority community to assist and coordinate the operation of the hormonal clinic.

Bina Shrestha, a doctor associated with FPAN, urged the sexual and gender minority community to avail of the services of the clinic.
