PM Deuba wants local people’s representatives to contribute for good governance

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged people’s representatives to maintain the integrity and to bear people’s needs in mind while performing given roles and responsibilities.
In his address to a program organized today by the Nepali Congress, Kanchanpur district working committee to honor recently elected local people’s representatives in Kanchanpur, the party central President urged them to dedicate their term to the cause of the people.
The existence of any political party will depend on the people’s strength, according to leader Deuba who also wants people’s representatives to contribute to promoting good governance at the local -level.
Former ministers Ramesh Lekhak and NP Saud and people’s representatives elected from all nine local levels in the district were present on the occasion.
