Gandaki government’s claim: This budget is real
POKHARA: The Gandaki government claims that the public budget for the coming fiscal year is realistic.
Gandaki Finance Minister Ramji Baral stated at a press conference that the budget was prepared based on the state’s capacity. He stated that only the budget would be increased, and that implementation would be impossible.
“We presented the budget on the basis of reality by analyzing the state’s resource availability and spending capacity,” he explained, adding, “I believe it would be more useful to have an ambitious program that would not be implemented without analyzing the income by rejoicing in the imagination.”
According to Baral, the government has set aside funds for the scheme to be completed within a year. He stated that projects of state pride and unfinished projects under construction would be accelerated. ‘Implementation of this budget will speed up the implementation of the state’s transformational projects, state pride projects, and unfinished continuous projects under construction that will yield immediate returns and be completed within a year.’
‘The state’s strategically important economic, social, and physical infrastructure projects will be built, and the service sector will be expanded,’ he said.
The state government has placed more emphasis on agriculture and health this time around.
