No treason in maintaining tax rates: Finance Minister

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma stated that the rate was changed to account for the import and production of dollar reserves while keeping the tax rate constant.

Finance Minister Sharma stated this in response to a question raised in parliament today.

He said, “The revenue committee’s tax rates are entirely my responsibility. If there is treason, I will accept full responsibility because there is none here.”
