KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba stated that the government will work with the private sector to reduce the trade deficit.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Deuba inaugurated the Nepal Chamber of Commerce Expo-2022 at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, saying the government would work with the private sector to reduce the trade deficit through export promotion.
He believes that it is critical to focus on product promotion, market promotion, and export promotion by including indigenous products and products made from Nepali original skills using indigenous raw materials.
He stated that the exhibition would benefit the country’s economy as well as the marketing of goods. He also stated that the exhibition would help to promote the tourism industry and increase tourist arrivals.
According to the Chamber, the direct participation of the international business community would aid in closely monitoring economic activities taking place in the international arena, the use of new technologies, and new dimensions of trade management, as well as assisting Nepali industrialists.
Domestic and indigenous products, as well as agricultural and herbal products, electronics, garments and textiles, leather goods, cosmetics, food and dairy products, are on display at the fair.
