Physical infrastructure and road on priority
The annual budget has stipulated several priorities.
KATHMANDU: The Karnali State government has laid emphasis on the construction and maintenance of big, medium and small roads.
The annual budget has stipulated several priorities, including implementing road and bridge projects after framing a road master plan, formulating provincial roads, coordinating with the federal government for the construction of the Karnali and Bheri corridor, and implementing ‘at least one road in each district’ as a state pride project, speeding up the construction of multi-year contract signed road projects and constructing roads linking centre of the local level to the wards.
Likewise, the state government has allocated Rs 240 million for the construction of a road from Jumla Airport Urthukhali-Nyaurighat-Bulbule and Kalikot Lalu-Laifu-Kotwada-Rupa to Ramaroshan of Achham in Sudurpaschim.
Among other projects included in the budget are construction of Chisapani-Musikot road, Sarkegad-Simkot road, Gamgadhi-Nakchenangla road and City road in Birendranagar and implementation of infrastructure development project, among others.
