KATHMANDU: The People’s War Martyr Rit Bahadur Khadka (Pratap) 21st’s birthday has been observed. This morning, the CPN-Maoist Central Office in Parisdanda observed Pratap’s 21st Memorial Day.
The program was hosted by Dolakha Kathmandu Liaison Coordinating Committee Chairperson Min Bahadur Ghimire and featured Party Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda.’
He began the program by placing a wreath on a photograph of Martyr Khadka.
On this occasion, best wishes were extended to the local level candidates and Dolakha’s successful people’s representatives in the local level election.
Rit Bahadur Khadka was the People’s War’s founding leader in Dolakha. He was killed in a clash with the government in Rautahat on 2059 BS, Ashar 2 (16 June 2002), on his way back from a meeting of the Maoists’ Central Committee in India.
