Lumbini State budget focuses on management of province capital in Deukhuri
The budget will be spent for managing and developing the school as a model school.
LUMBINI: The annual budget of the Lumbini state government, tabled at the state assembly on Wednesday, has put high priority on managing the state capital as a pride project.
The budget has put forth a plan to accomplish the task of equipping the state capital and also shift the central level agencies of the state in Rupandehi to the permanent capital in the coming fiscal year.
The state government has allocated Rs 750 million for transferring the Deukhuri-based Rapti Technical Institute to Saraswoti secondary school at Gadawa Rural Municipality for the management of the state capital. The budget will be spent for managing and developing the school as a model school.
State Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Krishna Dhoj Khadka presented the budget. The key priority of the budget this year is to manage capital in the Rapti valley at Deukhuri in Dang, Minister Khadka shared.
Other state pride projects incorporated in the budget are Lumbini Technical University, Butwal-based Lumbini State Hospital and Palpa Rampur to Rolpa Patihalna road (Jinawang).
A bulk budget of Rs 169 billion has been earmarked for the implementation of state pride projects, Minster Khadka informed.
