Road cleaning work resumes in Kathmandu: 5 broomers operated, 4 more to be added on Thursday

KATHMANDU: Currently, five broomers are operating in Kathmandu Metropolitan City for road cleaning.

The inactive broomers have been reactivated, according to Metropolitan Chief Balendra Shah. “The work has begun after the maintenance of the inactive broomers without any minor maintenance work,” he said. 5 broomers have begun cleaning Kathmandu as of today. He also stated that 9 broomers will be cleaned on a regular basis, with the addition of 4 broomers beginning on Thursday.

Although the rainy season will cause some inconvenience, Mayor Shah is confident that the broomers will play an important role in the campaign to make Kathmandu dust-free as soon as possible.
