KATHMANDU: Lawmakers participating in a discussion under the ministry-wise headings of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year, 2022/23 in the House of Representatives today have put their views on many issues in the budget.

On the occasion, Dr Bhim Rawal sought a response from the government on the matter of Nepali territories bordering neighbouring India. He demanded a declaration of Nepal as a zone of peace and a bar for activities against the constitution to take place.
Stating that budget for Pokhara, Kaski has been reduced in every sector including health, Khaga Raj Adhikari accused the government of not being serious about the matter.
He was of the view that the Manipal Medical College in Pokhara should not be privatised.
Likewise, Shakti Bahadur Basnet sought the government’s clear stance on its foreign policy and security policies while Renuka Gurung sought a long-term solution to waste management and demanded accommodation and land for the landless Dom community.
Also, Krishna Prasad Dahal pointed out monitoring to end problems facing the health sector.
