Electricity Authority lays wires underground within a year and a half: Mayor Shah

KATHMANDU: Balendra Shah, Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has stated that the Nepal Electricity Authority will complete the undergrounding of all wires within a year and a half.
Mayor Shah stated that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City will move forward in collaboration with all stakeholders, saying, “From now on, all stakeholders in Kathmandu will work together.”
He said this while responding to a question at the Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s second executive meeting. “The Electricity Authority has committed to undergrounding all wires within the next one and a half years,” he said. ‘In which the metropolitian will cooperate.’
He stated that the metropolitan is attempting to solve problems ranging from street lights to sewers, but that “this time it could not be done immediately due to the monsoon season.” We work in a logical manner.’
