Sunar elected as mayor of district committee Surkhet

SURKHET: Surkhet District Coordination Committee Chairman Gangaram Sunar has been elected.

UML Sunar has been elected from the UML-Maoist alliance in the election held on Friday.

Sunar secured ten votes, while Congress candidate Dilip Kumar Wagle secured eight votes.

Similarly, Sachin Kumar Baduwal, a UCPN (Maoist) candidate, was elected as Deputy Mayor.

Members of the UML include Dilli Prasad Pandey, Prithvi Bahadur Budhakshetri, Chandra Kumari Dhami, Mina Malla, and Sabitra Tomato.

Shanti Taram and Tulram Nepali were also elected from the Maoists.
