437 people benefitted from free eye camp in Humla

HUMLA: A day-long free eye camp organised at the District Hospital, Humla, has benefitted 437 people.

A number of eye patients were benefitted from the eye camp organised on Tuesday. Of them 36 people would undergo cataract surgery today.

The camp was organised by the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Health Service Office, District Eye Care Centre, Humla chapter of Nepal Red Cross Society and Humla chapter of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh.

Senior Auxiliary Nurse Midwife at the District Hospital, Humla, Sarita Bohara, said that eye patients from different rural municipalities including Simkot, and Kharpunath received the service from the eye camp.

Similarly, a free eye camp would be organised at Yalangba of Namkha Rural Municipality on June 9.
