Woman burnt alive in Darchula

DHANGADHI: A woman was murdered by setting fire in Darchula’s Shailyashikhar Municipality Baril.

Aniva Khadayat, 40, was murdered by setting fire to hay near her home, according to police.

According to DSP Prateek Bista of the District Police Office in Darchula, a team from the Area Police Office in Gokuleshwor has been dispatched to investigate the incident.

Bharat Bahadur Khadayat, Ward Chairperson of Shailyashikhar Municipality Ward No. 1, stated that they notified the police after Khadayat’s body was discovered burnt on Tuesday night.

Following the incident, police arrested two people.

The deceased was survived by two daughters and a son. Her husband had passed away a few years before.
