Pokhrel, District Chairperson of Press Center, died after falling from a tree

KATHMANDU: Raju Pokhrel, the chairperson of the Press Center Nepal Nawalparasi (West), has died.

Pokhrel, 34, died after falling from a tree on Tuesday afternoon, according to the District Police Office.

Pokhrel had come from Nawalparasi five days ago to a house in Gulmi Dhurkot Rural Municipality 4 Jaisithok Rautadi.

According to police, Pokhrel died at the district hospital after being critically injured after falling from a tree near his home.

Pokhrel, who also serves as the station manager of Dautari FM, is a well-known journalist.
