Gandaki government to provide 45 days nutrition allowance to maternity women
The government has stated that it will continue the airlift program for the sake of mother and child's health.
POKHARA: From next year, the Gandaki government has stated that it will provide nutrition allowance to maternity women for 45 days.
Prithvi Man Gurung, the state chief, announced the policy and program, saying that the program will focus on ‘Maternal mother, nutritious food.’ A nutrition allowance will be provided to the maternity of deprived families for 45 days through the same program, in collaboration with the local level.
Similarly, a plan has been proposed to transform the Maternal and Child Hospital into an Integrated Maternal and Child Hospital in order to provide health services to children.

The government has been rescuing maternity and pregnant from remote areas by helicopter and transporting them to well-equipped hospitals for treatment for the past two years.
