One dies when microbus overturns

KATHMANDU: A woman was killed today when a microbus overturned in Raipur’s Panch Kilo district.

Tarawati Devi Yadav, 65, of Rupani Rural Municipality 1, Raipur, has been identified as the deceased, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafle.

Tarawati, who was critically injured in the accident, was taken to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj for treatment but died there, according to police.

Some other passengers were also injured in the accident. According to police, they were taken to Raipur’s Unique Hospital for treatment. The microbus (03001 J 0277) travelling from Lahan to Rajbiraj was involved in an accident due to excessive speed.
