A 37-year-old woman died after being struck by lightning in Makwanpur
Moktan died on the spot.
KATHMANDU: A lightning strike killed a person in Hiledmar, Manhari Rural Municipality-6, Makwanpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Jamunamaya Moktan, 37, of Makwanpur, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Karki.
Moktan died on the spot after being struck by lightning around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, according to Pranau Karki.
Her body was taken to Hetauda Hospital for an autopsy.
