COVID-19 infection confirmed in 3 Nepalis returning from India at Jamunah border

KATHMANDU: Three Nepali nationals returning from India have been found to be infected with COVID-19 at the Jamunah border (checkpoint) in Banke.

Dhiraj Jung Shah, Chief of the District Health Office in Banke, confirmed that they had a COVID-19 infection.

“For a few days back, COVID-19 infection has been confirmed among Nepalis crossing the Jamunaha border from various parts of India,” he said

COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in Dailekh, Pyuthan, and Jajarkot today, according to Chief Shah.

He stated that corona infection had been confirmed in eight people in about two weeks, and that 50 people were receiving daily health checks at the Jamunah border.
