Person gone missing in river

POKHARA: One person has gone missing after being swept away by a river in Tanahun.
Chandra Bahadur Gurung, a resident of Bhanu Municipality-11, has gone missing after being swept away by the Dhadphedi River.
He slipped and fell into the flood while crossing the river.
The incident was reported to the police by witnesses. Gurung is currently being sought by police.
People’s lives in the area have been impacted by the area’s nonstop rains since Sunday night. The bridge connecting Bhanu 2 and 5 was also washed away, according to police.
Similarly, the road under construction from Bhanu 9 Baisjangar to Panchbhai Chautaro of Lamjung has also collapsed.
Police and security personnel have been deployed in the area.
