ITAHARI: Taltalaiya is an enchanting tourist destination in East Nepal. This tourist area is located in Wards 2 and 3 of Sunsari’s Itahari Sub-Metropolitian and is a popular tourist destination.
There are seven small lakes and 28 different statues spread across an area of about 20 hectares. Children can enjoy the zoological park, which includes swings, a merry go round, and wild animals.
Young people and families can also enjoy outdoor activities such as paddle boats. This place is becoming popular among both domestic and international tourists, particularly for picnics.
The Taltalaiya Development and Conservation Committee has stated that tourists come for observation of animals, biodiversity and research.
It is 5 kilometers from Jute Bikash Chowk east of Itahari on the East-West Highway and 3 kilometers from Itahari Tarhara on the Koshi Highway to Taltalaiya.
