Chance of rain with thunder & lightning in these four states

KATHMANDU: Meteorologists say the local wind and a low-pressure line extending east-west from Uttar Pradesh in India to East Bangladesh are currently affecting Nepal.

Light rain is falling in some areas of State 1 this morning as a result of the same seasonal system. The rest of the state has mostly clear skies with some cloud cover.

This afternoon, partial to normal cloud cover will prevail in State 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States. The rest of the country will be mostly clear with some cloud cover. Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning, and wind is possible in a few places in State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki, and one or two places in Madhesh, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology.

According to the department, there will be partial to normal cloud cover in the country’s hilly areas, including State 1, tonight. The rest of the country will be mostly clear with some cloud cover.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of State 1 and in one or two areas of hilly terrain in Bagmati and Gandaki States.
