KATHMANDU: Seven members of the same family who died in a Tara Air plane crash on Sunday while flying from Pokhara to Jomsom were cremated.
Seven members of the same family living in Tulsipato Lohta of Mithila Municipality-11 of Dhanusha were cremated on Thursday.
A family of seven, including Rajan Gole, who currently resides in Gokarneshwar Makalbari, was cremated according to Buddhist tradition in Swayambhu today.
Jhala Nath Khanal, a member of the CPN-Dhanusha S’s district, has bid farewell to the deceased’s body by covering it with the party flag.
The deceased have been identified as Rajan Gole, his father Indra Bahadur Gole, mother Ram Maya Tamang, uncle Purushottam Gole, aunt Tulsadevi Tamang, uncle Makar Bahadur Tamang and aunt Sukumaya Tamang.
They were on a pilgrimage to Muktinath Temple, a famous religious site in Mustang.
