Ukraine close to World Cup qualifiers beating Scotland

KATHMANDU: Ukraine beat Scotland in European World Cup qualifiers Ukraine beat Scotland 3-1 in last night’s game to reach the playoffs.

Andrei Yarmolenko, Roman Yaremchuk and Artem Dovbek scored one goal each in Ukraine’s victory. Kalum McGregor scored a goal for Scotland.

Wales and Ukraine will now play for a place in the European World Cup qualifiers. The match between the two will be played on June 5.

From Europe, 12 countries have already been selected: Germany, Denmark, France, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, England, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Portugal and Poland.
