KATHMANDU: MAY. 31 -Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has signed a decision to establish a “Women’s Cell” to protect women victims of violence.

As part of her election commitment, she signed a decision to establish a ‘Women’s Cell’ in each ward of the metropolitian to provide necessary legal assistance, facilitation, and self-defence training to women victims of violence and injustice.

The women’s cell, which will be formed in each ward, will work with the judicial committee to take the necessary action against women who have been wronged and victimized.
