Barpak Sulikot’s decision: No public holiday on Sunday

KATHMANDU: MAY. 31 – The Gorkha Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality has decided not to grant public holidays on Sunday. Although the Nepalese government has mandated leave on Saturday and Sunday beginning Jestha 1 (May 15), Barpak Sulikot will only grant leave on Saturday.

Bishnu Bhatta, Chairperson of the Rural Municipality, informed that the executive meeting held on Sunday decided to grant leave only on Saturday.

“There is challenging geography. Schools resumed their regular operations following COVID-19. Two days’ leave does not appear to be justified “He stated.
