Kathmandu Mayor & Deputy Mayor sworn in today

KATHMANDU: MAY. 30 – People’s representatives including newly elected Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balendra Sah (Balen) and Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol are taking oath of office and secrecy.

According to KMC Information Officer Basanta Acharya, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at the City Hall today at 11 am.

Kathmandu Metropolitan Chief Electoral Officer Raju Kumar Khatiwada will administer oath to Mayor Sah today. Mayor Sah will then administer the oath to the deputy mayor, ward chairperson and members.

Mayor Sah and Deputy Mayor Dangol are scheduled to take office today. After the board meeting, Mayor Sah will sign the first decision, said Information Officer Acharya.
