Election code of conduct is no longer in effect as of today

KATHMANDU: MAY. 24 – According to the Election Commission, the election code of conduct issued for local level member elections is no longer in effect as of today.

The commission had implemented the election code of conduct on April 8 to conduct the election in a clean, fearless and dignified environment.

Local elections were held in a single phase across the country on May 13.

The final results of most local elections have been made public, and the newly elected have already begun work.

The counting of votes in 12 municipalities is also nearing completion.
