POKHARA: MAY. 24 – While the votes are being counted, Dhanraj Acharya, the Pokhara mayoral candidate, has reached in Kathmandu and requested a budget from the federal government.

He returned to Pokhara asking for the required budget for the construction of the landfill site. Acharya travelled to Kathmandu on Saturday and returned on Monday after being assured of victory in the election.

The most challenging in Pokhara is the landfill site. The first requirement for the International Airport operation is the removal of the landfill.

However, Acharya stated that he had appealed to the federal government as Pokhara lacked the necessary budget. He has also demanded that Pokhara be designated as the tourism capital. He stated that he has demanded that this program be included in the policy and program.
