In Pics: Renu & Chitrasen after the victory

BHARATPUR: MAY. 24 -Both mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates from the ruling alliance have been elected in Bharatpur Metropolitian.

Renu Dahal of the CPN-Maoist Center and Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress have won from the alliance.

Chitrasen Dahal got 52,030 votes while Subedi got 39,581 votes.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Adhikari defeated UML candidate Himala Gurung by a wide margin of 22,191 votes. Gurung was an RPP candidate for the deputy mayoral post. Adhikari collected 52,803 votes, and Gurung got 30,612 votes.

As soon as they were elected, a victory rally was held with their supporters. Supporters and leaders congratulated Renu and Chitrasen and thanked the voters.
