Operation of blood bank in the state hospital

SURKHET: MAY. 23 – Karnali State Hospital has established a blood bank. A blood transfusion centre has been established at the hospital in Birendranagar Municipality-4, Karnali’s capital, at a cost-shared by the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu and the state hospital.

Karnali Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi formally opened the blood bank on Monday. Speaking at the Blood Transfusion Center’s inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Shahi stated that the state government was working on a plan to transform the state hospital into a high-level hospital throughout the country.

Similarly, Yagya Bahadur Budha Chhetri, the state’s Minister for Social Development, thanked the hospital for starting the historic work from the state hospital and stated that the ministry has been assisting in upgrading the hospital’s service facilities.

Professor Dr Dambar Khadka, the hospital’s director, stated that the hospital has been providing health services to the people of Karnali and other states and that the hospital has established a blood transfusion center to provide additional services.
