Manoj Pandey charged with human trafficking
The victim lodged a complaint against Pandey at the District Police Office, Kathmandu on Monday.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 23 – Manoj Pandey has been charged with human trafficking after being arrested for raping a teenager in the name of a beauty pageant.
On Monday, the victim filed a complaint against Pandey with the District Police Office in Kathmandu.
Pandey, who hails from Bhairahawa, had organized the Miss Global International pageant in 2014.
Pandey allegedly raped the girl while holding her hostage at Kathmandu’s Everest Hotel before the competition’s ‘Success Party.’
