Establishment of an Oxygen Plant in Sarlahi’s Lalbandi

KATHMANDU: MAY. 23 – An oxygen plant has been set up at Lalbandi Municipality (located) Primary Health Center in Sarlahi.

Gopal Prasad Ghimire, Chairman of the Health Center Management Committee, said that the Oxygen Plant was set up at Lalbandi under the COVID-19 Emergency Rescue and Rehabilitation Project, which is being run with the financial support of the Australian Government, technical assistance of Adra Nepal and partnership of Bagmati Service Society Nepal Hariwan Sarlahi.

The plant has been set up with the help of central, Madhesh State, and local governments as well as Australian Aid, Open Heart International, ADRA Nepal and Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal, said Bharat Kumar Karki, chairperson of Bagmati Welfare Society Nepal.

The plant can produce 24 oxygen cylinders of total 48 kg daily, said Dr. Mukti Narayan Sah, Chief of Health Branch, Ministry of Social Development, Madhesh State.
