KATHMANDU: MAY. 23 – The Jazeera plane is thought to have collided with a bird while landing at Gautam Buddha International Airport.
The plane, which arrived from Kuwait at 2 a.m. on Monday, is suspected of colliding with a bird on the airport grounds.
The plane is on the apron after passengers have disembarked. The plane, which was carrying 121 passengers, contained 52 inmates. They were rescued and transported to Nepal.
Shyam Kishor Sah, a spokesperson for Gautam Buddha International Airport, stated that the plane collided with a bird after landing. “There’s blood on the outside of the plane, but there aren’t any birds on the runway,” he explained.
According to him, the plane was grounded as the bird may have entered the engine. The flight will only take off after the airline’s engineer inspects the aircraft.
Since May 16, it has operated regular flights at Gautam Buddha International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
