NC wins mayor-deputy mayor in Kanchanpur Punarbas

DHANGADHI: MAY. 23 – Toya Prasad Sharma of Nepali Congress has won the mayorship of Kanchanpur Punarbas Municipality.

He won by getting 10 thousand 6 votes. His nearest rival Padma Bahadur Pujara of the CPN-UML polled 4,674 votes.

Congress’ Bhuliya Kumari Rana has also won the post of deputy mayor. She won by getting 7,345 votes. Her nearest rival, Dhokhe Rana of the CPN-Maoist Center, polled 5,492 votes.
