Renu’s lead in Bharatpur is approaching 10,000

KATHMANDU: MAY. 23 – Renu Dahal, a ruling coalition candidate for mayor of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has maintained her lead.

She polled 9,903 more votes than CPN-Bijay UML’s Subedi after one lakh one thousand 945 votes were counted.

Dahal secured 43,606 votes, while Subedi secured 33,703 votes.

Jagannath Poudel, an independent candidate for mayor, secured 13,350 votes.

Chitrasen Adhikari of the Congress polled 44,918 votes, while Himla Gurung of the RPP secured 26,686 votes.
