Temporary police arrested in Jhapa on rape charge
He is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the dense forest of the same ward on Tuesday.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 21 – Police have arrested a temporary police officer in Jhapa on Saturday on the charge of rape.
According to the Jhapa Police Office, Kamal Prasad Pokhrel, 30, of Tapli Rural Municipality -5 in Udayapur, has been arrested on a charge of raping a girl.
He was arrested while he was on duty on Friday in Ward No. 2 of Gaurigunj, Jhapa.
He is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in the dense forest of the same ward on Tuesday.
Pokhrel was selected as a temporary police officer from Jhapa in the 2079 local level election.
