Nagarik Unmukti Party’s candidates win Janaki Rural Municipality chair & vice-chair posts
He defeated the common candidate from the ruling coalition Nepali Congress (NC)'s Parashuram Mahato who collected 5,242 votes.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 21 – Ganesh Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party has been elected chairperson of Janaki Rural Municipality in Kailali district. Chaudhary got elected with 7,151 votes.
He defeated the common candidate from the ruling coalition Nepali Congress (NC)’s Parashuram Mahato who collected 5,242 votes.
Similarly, Nagarik Unmukti Party’s Lalmati Devi Kathariya has been elected vice-chairperson with 6,526 votes. Her closest contender CPN (UML)’s Geeta Chaudhary received 4,005 votes.
